Who says there's no such thing
as a 'free launch'?
Novelist's ebook giveaway introduces new website
A new chapter is underway for Mark Cantrell's online literary presence and to celebrate the occasion, the 43-year-old author is giving away digital copies of his works for free.
Mark, who lives in Stoke-on-Trent and works as a journalist in Manchester, has launched a new branded website to provide an all-in-one source for new writing and the latest information on his literary activities.
The new site, simply called 'Mark Cantrell, Author' and found at the url www.markcantrell.co.uk, was established in advance of the exciting release of his new novel Silas Morlock.
A dark urban dystopia, Silas Morlock is to be published by Inspired Quill (IQ) in both print and digital editions.
"With a book deal from Inspired Quill under my belt, it was an appropriate occasion to take the next step in my digital presence by establishing my own domained site," Mark explained.
"Like a good many of my fellow authors, up to now I've used a lot of hosting services such as Blogger, with my presence spread around a lot of bitty sites. Now, markcantrell.co.uk pulls them all into one, giving readers all the information they need about my works, as well as offering them fresh writing on the associated blog, all at one easy address."
The deal with Inspired Quill follows on from the earlier indie-publication of his novel Citizen Zero in December 2010. A science fiction thriller in the dystopian tradition, the terrifying story depicts a world that may have grown straight out of this age of austerity and it guarantees to shock as much as it enthrals.
To celebrate the formal launch of 'Mark Cantrell, Author', digital copies of Citizen Zero are free to download from the distributor Smashwords for a week (Sun 21-10-12 to Sat 27-10-12) using the coupon code mentioned on the home page of Mark's site, so visit to find out more.
Along with the novel, Mark is also giving away Isolation Space, an eclectic collection of science fiction, fantasy, and horror intermingled with more literary and satirical works. Both titles are available for a range of popular devices, including the Kindle, Sony reader, Kobo, Nook, Apple and others.
